Class Software engaged Hale! Marketing to evaluate potential opportunities, provide strategic direction, and develop Class Software’s marketing capability. Building a strategic marketing organization was critical for Class to be able to take advantage of new market opportunities. This was one of a set of projects performed for Class, and was focused on the human resource aspect of developing Class Software’s strategic marketing organization.

Our responsibilities in this project included identifying and clarifying product marketing’s role within the product development process, creating job descriptions for new marketing positions, assisting in the interview and selection of candidates, and coaching existing staff (including the company president, product marketing managers and marcoms managers) on a 1:1 basis over an extended period.

Class Software Solutions (formerly known as ESCOM, and now part of The Active Network, Inc., based in San Diego) has successfully developed and marketed software for local government Parks and Recreation facilities for over 25 years. The company leads the market with over 500 customers in Canada, the US, Australia, and New Zealand, and has achieved an enviable position within the Parks and Recreation market.
