Rapid turnaround on a website refresh, Flash ad, and html emails
Protexis is the leader in digital content distribution for retailers. The company's patented RED system enables the first and only open, neutral and efficient network for online digital content distribution. Protexis currently serves large online retailers and over 2,000 software publishers and is privately held, with headquarters in Vancouver, British Columbia, and offices in Seattle.
Protexis has been a client of Hale! Marketing for over two years. During that time we have had responsibility for developing and implementing trade show visuals, banners, print advertisements, online ads, several iterations of the web site, and internet search marketing. This project involved a rapid update to the web site home page in support of the launch of Protexis’ RED capability on the Microsoft Windows Marketplace site. Also included were an “advertisement” implemented in Flash for the home page, the development of two html emails for two different audiences, and the implementation of a WYSIWYG email editor. The project duration from briefing to completion was seven days. Apart from the briefing, rough outline copy for the email was provided by the client. The idea was to communicate that RED is gaining momentum in the marketplace, and that for software retailers, it’s easy to reach additional consumers.
Like most projects of this type with tight timelines, we developed the copy and graphic concepts simultaneously. This reduces rework and results in a more polished final result. Several concepts were developed for the revised home page and for the Flash ad. Single concepts were developed for the html emails. Protexis changed one word, and that was it!
